Most of the struggling economies are unable to meet the demands for preventive medical practices and are equally unable to meet the cost of appropriate health care for the people. In view of all these inadequacies, medical and scientific research is understandably a matter of low priority.

Chapter Highlights
- Australian Chapter:- Dr Pam McGrath and her team, International Program of Psycho-Social Health Research (IPP-SHR), have worked closely with IRPC on a range of research projects.
- Australian Chapter:- Hamish Holewa, IPP-SHR has contributed to the development of IRPC's journal, the Austral-Asian Journal of Cancer, a HERDC recognised, peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary cancer journal.

- IRPC Japan Chapter under the leadership of Prof. Takashi Nakano in collaboration with NPO Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Radiation Medicine has decided to donate Radiotherapy Machines to developing countries. The NPO has already donated a machine to Yemen.
Brachytherpay machine project Yemen 11-25 January 2011. - IRPC is launching the new website with renewed contents and chapter details. The website will be continuously be updated with contributions from all chapters and associations.
